The Lotus Sutra is a wish to convey the scriptures until the end of the Heian period (late 11th century to 12th century), when the Maitreya Bodhisattva appeared 5,670 million years after the death of Buddha and saved sentient beings. The scriptures such as the Lotus Sutra are engraved on a clay tablet, baked, and placed in the sutra mound. Kaibara Ekken's "Chikuzen Kokuryo Fudoki" (1703-1709) states that this tile sutra was found on Mt. Atago. Mr. Kouka Takano, a researcher in the field, believed in the existence of this Atagoyama tile sutra and has been enthusiastically engaged in excavation and collection work since the early 1950s. Did.
This time, we asked Mr. Miyoshi to give a lecture on Atago's tile sutras.

Bamboo forest logging and conservation activities on Mt. Atago (1st to 3rd)
— Would you like to move while bathing in the forest? — —
(2018)
Currently, the bamboo grove that spreads on Mt. Atago has been left unattended for a long time, and as a result, it has become an obstacle to maintaining the diversity of vegetation, which is a characteristic of Satoyama. There is also the problem that it obstructs the view from the precincts of Atago Shrine and the view from the sweets shop. Bamboo spreads on the rhizomes and stores nutrients, so it is very difficult to eliminate it because it sprouts new shoots even if it is cut. This year, we would like to start by starting to set the direction of future recommendations and to acquire techniques and techniques for logging bamboo forests.
This is the third initiative (the end of this term). I hope that many people will participate in the nature restoration efforts of Mt. Atago.

Since the introduction of Kanji, many people have sought how to write Japanese using this foreign character, and various attempts have been made. Manyoshu has the appearance of a trade fair, and is truly diverse. Eventually, kana will be created from kanji, and a Japanese notation system called "kanji-kana majiri" will be established. After the birth of kana, a change in the history of Japanese notation, Manyoshu has become so large that it cannot be easily read by experts. This time, I looked at how the plants appearing in the Manyoshu are written, why they can be read that way, and how they are identified as the current plants, focusing on the plants that are likely to be related to Mt. Atago. I think

Before the reclamation of Hakata Bay, Mt. Atago was a mountain that rises on the coast, a place of worship from ancient times, and a place of security fortress against the continent in the Middle Ages. The coal mine spread underground and the coal mine prospered for about 50 years from the Taisho era, and in the early Showa period, the Atagoyama Cable Car was installed and became a popular tourist spot for citizens. Today, more than 600,000 people visit temples and shrines such as Atago Shrine every year, and it is a place of peace of mind and a healing place where the deep green of the satoyama remains. In order to pass on this rich nature and place of worship, Atagoyama, to the next generation, we ask what we wish and what we should do, even if the people living in Atagoyama are far away. Let's meet all the people who like Atagoyama and share their opinions.

Atagoyama was formerly known as Washioyama, where Washio Shrine was enshrined and Shugendo worship was flourishing. In the Middle Ages, a tandai and a fort were set up in this area, which became the stage for the Mongol invasion and the turmoil of the Northern and Southern Dynasties, and was devastated. Tadayuki, the second feudal lord of the Kuroda feudal clan, solicited Atago Shrine in Kyoto, and the names of Atagoyama and Atago Shrine became popular. The long history of Shinto and Buddhism and the flow of Haibutsu Kishaku, which became stronger in the Meiji era, have a great influence on the state of Atago temples and shrines. Introducing the changed history of Atago along with the historical remains along the time axis. This time, topics about modern and modern times will be provided.

Until recently, there were Oyamazumi Shrine and Suga Shrine, and in the past there were also temples and shrines such as Washio Shrine, Torinji Temple, Enmanji Temple, Sodama Shrine, and Zhong Kui Shrine.
