Gentiana has begun to bloom this year as well
(2016.04.15)
(Click the image to enlarge )
You can see the beautiful blue flowers of Gentiana zolling again this year. Gentiana is a small biennial plant that captivates everyone because it blooms pretty and beautiful flowers, and you can see it in this season, albeit a little at Atagoyama . However, Gentiana is sensitive to changes in the environment and grows only in moderate sunlight through the trees, which is not covered by other weeds (thus, it is a plant that withers even if you want to take it home and enjoy it. If you make a mistake, don't take it away). However, it is extremely unfortunate that the number is rapidly decreasing due to the recent rapid changes in the environment of Mt. Atago, and the reality is that it is in a crisis situation that is threatened with extinction.
It's nice to be able to see it again this year, but if you don't take full-scale protection measures immediately, you may end up saying, "Once upon a time, gentian was blooming on Mt. Atago." ..
(Extra edition): Spring tradition, white fish fishing on the Muromi River
(2016.03.04)
Scenery of white fish fishing on the Muromi River. Atagoyama's greenery can be seen in the far left, ahead of the city high.
The Muromi River, which runs right next to Mt. Atago, is divided by a highway, but together with Mt. Atago, it provides an important place for birds to live.
Kawazuzakura is in full bloom now and is in full bloom!
(2016.03.05)
On the way to Mt. Atago from the north side, two Kawazuzakura (Kawazu cherry blossoms) are planted on the side of the road on the hillside. Now, this cherry tree is in full bloom, blooming a little earlier than Yoshino cherry tree. The color of the flower is dark pink, and it insists on its presence and gorgeousness.
Gray herons have begun preparing for nesting!
(2016.03.05)
In the evening, a heron screamed in the Atago Forest. Is it about 10 or so? He was perching on a tree, screaming as if to cross each other, and beaking his beak. It's not as many as it used to be, but it's likely that we'll be nesting. I also saw him flying with a piece of wood in his beak. The male carries it, and the female receives it and builds a nest on the tree.

I was able to confirm the existence of the wild boar!
(2015.11.23)
The wild boar has a lot of mysteries, but after hearing the story of the locals, I saw it every year and saw the appearance of bait fishing this year as well. On the "Animal of Atagoyama" page, I wrote a question mark that I might not be there anymore, but I was able to confirm its existence safely (?).
There have been reports of wild boar damage such as harming people and damaging crops in various places, but so far, no such story has been reported regarding wild boars on Mt. Atago, except for the "rockfall incident." It seems that they are avoiding people earnestly, but according to experts, wild boars with children often attack people for fear of harm to their children.
If we reduce the amount of greenery on Mt. Atago more than ever, there will be friction between the wild boars who have lived quietly until now and people, and as a result, there is a possibility that "people will kill the wild boars". I want you to be "Atagoyama where even wild boars can live in peace" forever.
The remains of the ropeway station are very popular!
(2015.11.23)
The existence of the ropeway (commonly known as "Atagoyama Cable Car") on Mt. Atago is known as it is because there is an explanation board beside "Iwaiya", a resting place in front of the entrance to Atago Shrine. .. Only 2 minutes less than 150m from the place where Ikari Orthopedic Surgery facing Meiji-dori to the site of Washio Castle, which was built in the Kamakura period, to the summit of 60m above sea level (180m south-southeast of Atago Shrine main shrine) It was an aerial walk, but it was quite popular because it was the first ropeway in Kyushu. However, this ropeway was also destined to be abolished or removed due to the supply of iron for the war, and it was thought that all of it had disappeared to this day. However, our research revealed that the remains of Ropeway Yamagami Station exist behind the Suga Shrine (recently disappeared) at the top of the mountain ( Atago Cableway "Atagoyama Cable Car" page). See ). This remains was not surprisingly known to the locals who often take a walk on the site of Washio Castle, but we confirmed its existence at the walking tours and websites we planned and keep it properly. There are voices saying that it is a precious "remains" that should be.
