Yabu Meat Katsura (or Tenjiku Katsura). Lauraceae, genus Camphor tree. Also known as Kustab, Kurodamo. Distributed south of Fukushima Prefecture. The dark green leaves are leathery and glossy, and three whitish veins are conspicuous. It resembles Nikkei and has a fragrance, but Yabunikkei is unpleasant when biting the leaf axis, so it can be easily distinguished. It looks similar to Neolitsea sericea, but the back of the leaves of Neolitsea sericea is white and can be distinguished.
