Quercus crispula. A deciduous broad-leaved tree of the genus Quercus in the family Fagaceae. Also known as Quercus crispula. The main species of deciduous broad-leaved forest. The leaves are dull and the serrations are clearly noticeable. The flowering season is from May to June, and acorns grow in the fall. Acorns contain a lot of tannins, so you need to remove the lye to eat them. It was an indispensable food for the Jomon people. Today, it is used in shiitake logs, high-end furniture, and whiskey barrels.
